I was thinking more low-tech, more physical, real trashy. 50ties B-Movie poster style, along the lines of “Dune” “Barbarella” or “Leather Goddesses of Phobos”.

Oh, gosh! I definitely recognize that style in your work. While there's nothing quite as corny as some of the older space operas in your work, Hagen, the -style- is there...big fins on the rocket-ships, the action being sort of relaxed about the fact that they're interacting with aliens, and big-busted heroines. What more could you ask for? ;)

Hm, I always considered it a failure of mine that they are so relaxed with the aliens. But I can not think of any other way to keep this insane story sane in a moral sense. (^-^)

:) Well, to some degree in The Future™ it would make sense for people to become comfortable with aliens to some degree, especially those who live on a space station and interact frequently with aliens. You or I...well, I would definitely freak out about the merest alien, at least at first. Who knows, though, after a year or two of the knowledge of 'em, a tentaclesaurus might be downright familiar. ;)
